RAFAL STATKIEWICZ
Rafal, originally born in Poland is an elite competitive wrestling coach, both training and coaching here at AVT MMA. With a decorated history in wrestling, he’s travelled all over the globe to compete at the highest level in both MMA, and wrestling events.
With over 20 years experience, Rafal has dedicated his life to his craft, resulting in him being a European wresting bronze medallist, and Is known for his incredible physicality and mental toughness.
Rafal is is often commended for his friendliness and unique teaching style, making him perfect for both the kids and adult classes here at AVT.

JAKE "THE SNAKE" BINGHAM
Jake Bingham, also known as Jake “The Snake” Bingham is an undefeated MMA fighter, co-founder of AVT Scunthorpe and head coach.
Jake started learning BJJ over 8 years ago originally for self defence and to build his confidence but soon found himself excelling and taking it up at a more serious level. Jake has now had over 31 grappling matches, 27 wins with 25 submissions only loosing 4 times, one being by submission.
Jake co-founded AVT Scunthorpe in Reso24 gym and has been passing on his incredible grappling knowledge ever since. You’ll instantly recognise him by his iconic ginger beard and hair, frequently being mistaken for Connor Mcgregor...(seriously!)
